Kananaskis, commonly referred to as K-Country, is a mix of Alberta Park and public land. K-Country is approximately 50 km west of Calgary and includes the Town of Canmore. A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park virtually everywhere in Kananaskis ($90/household annually).
Camping: At designated Alberta Parks campground or on public land. A Public Lands Camping Pass is required to camp on public land ($30/person annually).
